Poker Face

For most of my life, I haven't been one to stand out in a crowd. I'm far too short for that. But with all the bright colors and (slightly obnoxious) prints I've been injecting into my wardrobe lately, I've been getting a little more looks in my runs to the store than I am used to from years back. So, I finally got a dress that can stare back. I was obsessed with my Leah Reena Goren feline karma dress so much I wear it on a near weekly basis. I figured it was about time to invest in the other print, and I'm not disappointed. Jason, on the other hand, is. This purchase was definitely not approved by the husband - he's totally creeped out by it. Good thing I gave up on impressing him years ago.

  1. Oh mah gawd that print is amazing! I gave up on impressing my boyfriend a loong time ago with the way I dress. I just got me some clear jelly shoes and he thinks they're the weirdest thing ever..but I don't care! haha

  3. I have to say, I love how the dress looks on you, but I think I'd probably be a little creeped out if I looked down and saw all those faces!
You look awesome, as usual - its all in the details.

  5. "a dress that can stare back"--oh man, that's the perfect way to describe a loud piece that tends to garner attention... perfect!! Eheheh, I love your clever little words, Katherine.

Yeah, that dress will definitely be able to stare back at someone and probably into their soul, too. Those eyes are definitely burning their way through our screens and into my own as I type this. That is seriously the coolest dress, though. I love the color of it and the repeating faces and WHAT! Nobody has that dress. Nobodddyyyy.

  6. Ha, I love this! What I lack in height I also make up for in bright colors, for the most part. I thought Jason pre-approved your clothing purchases?!?!! Trying to find a happy medium with my guy as well (i.e. I buy what he likes unless I REALLY like it, then I buy it anyway ;) Hope you are having a wonderful week Katherine! Also, I'm determined to catch up on many of your posts that I've missed in my bloggingiatus etc, so I apologize in advance for the overload of comments!

  7. Ahahaha I love that this dress creeps out your husband. My boyfriend would probably say the same thing, but who cares! It's awesome! Such a unique and fun print. I love how it's a simple dress with a cool print. The best combination.

  8. Haha! I like your attitude towards your husband's comment. It reminded me of my husband telling me my new printed pants "look like pajamas." Whatever, dude.

    Cute necklace, too!

  19. What a unique dress! It's very neat. I've experienced the weird stares when wearing certain outfits. I usually don't mind because I know that most of the time when I'm gawking at someone it's because I like what they're wearing! It's rarely because they're hideous...lol.
