& When I see you, I really see you upside down

I guess at some time I have trouble realizing it's September already and that this weekend is over. It's strange, really, to think how last September I was so antsy to move, but I never truly anticipated for that to happen without my husband. Our time together is never long enough, and we always seem to have such a wonderful time together. We spent our last day finally seeing the Dark Knight Rises, getting some yummy food at Tijuana Flats, and cooking a meal together. It is really easy to fall back into our old routines which I truly love - Jason getting up and getting me a drink, me asking Jason to do something for 10 minutes straight while he ignores me and reads his iPad, falling asleep on the couch, and all the other good and bad habits we have. Strange though - things that used to really annoy me now don't as much. As much being key here, Jason, I know you'll read this. I've hated these past couple months, but I also see how they have had their benefits for us and our relationship.

We took a walk, without Raynor as she is staying for a week with her grandparents in Celebration, and took some photos after our movie. Jason was surprised to see me in shorts - but this outfit was perfect for after Disney lounging.

  14. Movies, going out to eat, and cooking sound like the perfect last day! I definitely have been in a position where a long distance relationship made being together way more precious when we were actually in the same place! Its great that you are keeping such a great attitude about it as well, thats seriously hard to do!

  17. I'm glad you two are starting to "get used" to each others bad habits... I feel like that's essential to any relationship, you know? Love your outfit, and that you're in shorts too!

  18. I'm sure living apart can be so hard! My boyfriend had a job where he would travel the world months at a time without coming home. It was really hard having a relationship via phone and email. Honestly, I feel like time apart makes your bond that much stronger. And it's true, their little quirks are much less annoying!

  19. My husband travels ALL THE TIME. Right now he is in Japan and was in Australia before that. He has been gone for 2 weeks now. Tomorrow I pick him up at the airport, he is home for a week before he leaves for Kiev. It's not easy for a relationship to survive long distance. We work hard at keeping in touch with each other, we FaceTime when we can and often email. Each time he goes away I sneak a homemade card or gift in his bag and he usually puts a little gift or handwritten card somewhere in the house for me. It's our little way of keeping things going even when we're not together.

I think the fact that you wrote things that bothered you before and no longer do is in fact because you don't spend as much time together. There are pros and cons for long distance relationships. I'm glad you see it in a positive light.

  20. It must be so difficult living apart but it sounds like you cherish every single moment you spend together these days - so that is wonderful!

  21. I really love your shirt, even though I'm not sure what is on it. From afar, they look like little otters.

I also really adore that blue watch. My Greek teacher is extremely old fashioned and carries a pocketwatch everywhere, and I think I'm going to start doing that someday.

I know first hand that long distance can definitely help you and your partner grow stronger together. With long distance relationships, you either grow together or you grow apart, and luckily it seems that you and Jason are growing together.

  22. Wow. Rather deep revealing post with pictures that don't really match! You look super cute though. Time spent together strengthens the relationship - it's hard being apart.

  38. Time really does fly by and it is wonderful to feel the longing of spending your time with your husband!! That's how it should be! Too many women I know these days want to get away every chance they can from the person they marry. It is sad to me. It is good that the things that once annoyed you don't so much.

I keep meaning to mention how much I love your fox tote, they're my favorite animal. And that headband and watch are wonderful as well!

And ahh I adore the title of this post - Death Cab for Cutie = <3. The first time I heard them was actually on The O.C.
The distance can really suck whenever couples have to go through it, but it's also really reassuring just how quickly you can go back to that old, comfortable feeling when reunited.
