Today I went to buy myself some chairs and a little table for my porch at Target. I went to checkout, got everything scanned in, and reached in my purse to get my wallet.

I forgot my wallet.

I seriously miss always having Jason around so I don't have to remember things. I excel at being embarrassing on my own.

I love this coat, but it got so hot here so quick I didn't really get to wear it. It's cooled down to maybe 55 degrees tops now, so I will be rocking this awesome coat as much as possible. The print inside is just great, too.

I've been trying to mix more prints lately, and these dots seemed to be calling to this little bird print top. And I love these new shorts. I rarely shop at Ann Taylor Loft, but there shorts with their scalloped edges were too cute to be true.

I am seriously missing my baby girl, Raynor. Jason has her in Florida right now, and I have been thinking about all of the great times I have had with her. I wanted to share with you the story of my first pup and offer some things I learned.

-338 : how does he do it?

My first dog is a mix of two of the most stubborn breeds out there. Mix the determination and speed of a beagle with the stubborn weight of a basset, and voila, meet the princess bagle hound. Going into adopting her, I realized she would be an adventure. The past few years have been quite the craziness, but not at all in the way I thought they would be.

Here are the top things I have learned from Raynor.

I thoroughly believe I can make anything work appropriate by adding my trusty blazer. This thing is great. It makes anything look a little more polished. And it's super comfortable.

Et Tu, R2?

R2 & C3P0 came out to play today. I love these little guys - I managed to nab C3P0 in a trade at downtown Disney, but I had to go to eBay to get my little r2D2 and boy do I love him.

I got a new dress from Modcloth. I'm not going to lie guys, in all my stress, I bought a gaggle of dog related things as a pick me up. This dress is doing the trick. It's a good fit in a bright color.

I got brave and trekked across the road/parking lot and took pictures with the view over the hill. I think I like this area. Too bad it is raining and grey here right now.

My mom is in town for the weekend, and the one place to visit is Hershey. We went to the museum and chocolate world and looked around at the history of Hershey. We also went to ride the one free ride, but it broke down while we were on it and we had to walk out.

We also ate in downtown Harrisburg at Cafe Fresco. I had a delicious pizza. The place was really pretty inside and I would definitely go back, but still, I can't seem to find any food here that I have fallen in love with as much as anything back home or in Florida.

This was my outfit today. I love this dress, but the boning is coming out, which is really sad. I wore it on our honeymoon, to Hawaii, and to my college's 'prom' so to speak. I love this dress. Please excuse my awkward smile. I was trying to explain to my mom how to use my camera. Handing people the 60D isn't easy, it's kind of a beast of a camera with a large lens on it.

I've always loved the song 'Aux Champs Elysees', especially around the times I went to Paris and actually got to walk on it. It's definitely not the same, but I love towns with nice 'main streets' with shopping and good food. Park Avenue in Winter Park, Florida is a wonderful street of a great variety of stores and restaurants. Jason and I have eaten here before, but never shopped. We went out on Wednesday to try and find me a pair of shorts. The area is super dog friendly and has a great variety of items - from spices to clothing to chocolates to a cheese shop!

Passover began recently and Easter is today, and I wanted to wish everybody a happy holiday no matter what you celebrate. Or just a good weekend if none of this applies. We have been having a lot of fun here - the pups are together again and playing, Jason and I are playing XBOX together, and we are visiting our favorite restaurants.

Raynor & Teemo on a walk, the pups playing tug, and our wine to go with the beef stew!

Jason and I are cooking dinner Irish Beef Stew tonight, and I wanted to share the recipe with you. This is one of our ultimate faves and can be either made with stew beef (we prefer Whole Foods grass fed kind) or seitan if you are vegetarian.
Yesterday was a long day. I left work at 1pm (yay early dismissal) and I picked up Teemo at home and we started off on our journey at 1:30pm. 16 hours and 6 minutes later (would have been quicker, but I was delayed 3-4 hours in Virginia due to stopped traffic from 3-7pm) we rolled into Orlando at 5:54 am. I plan on catching up a little more tomorrow as Jason and I are so tired and will probably be crawling into bed fairly soon!

When I got here my package from Modcloth was waiting for me! I have been waiting for my Cambridge Satchel and new Seychelles all week. Jason picked these things out with me, the shoes were his find! The satchel is amazing - the quality is to die for and it's just a steal for a nice leather bag make in the UK at the price it is. Well worth it.

Jason and I ran errands in the afternoon, had lunch at Tijuana Flats, and got all the supplies to make Easter dinner tomorrow. I love my straw fedora - it's perfect for Florida! When we went out for dinner, I draped a scarf around me - it got CHILLY here. Seriously, it's always like 95 degrees here and it was around 70 when we took the pups on their walk!

In case you haven't noticed, I've been gone a lot. Right now, I've got the corgi in tow and we're taking the 17 hour drive to Florida. Yup. I have put 10,000 miles on my Fiat in under 5 months, and I have driven over 48 hours in the past month. Yes. I have spent well over 2 whole days driving and have another 17 hours soon. I may be crazed. Or my dad has taught me well that 8 hours is not really all that bad of a drive.

Oh hai!! (PS. This is my car!)
I love driving, but there are definitely some things that I have learned from my many trips over the past years, from almost monthly 4 hour drives from Cincinnati to Akron to trips to visit friends.

DIY Fishie Toe Nails

I love doing my nails. It's one of the many things I spent time on learning how to do. I'm just a weird personality who grew up with the internet and I do whatever I like to my husband's dismay at times. As a kid, my mom was really great and always allowed me to pursue the random array of arts and crafts I loved, from creating the Brady Bunch in popsicle stick figures to buying me Klutz books so I could learn to do my nails and braid hair. I learned a lot from those books.

Anyhow, when I was younger, my neighbors, who were like little sisters to me growing up, would come over and I would do all of our nails. One of our favorites to do, since we loved swimming in their pool everyday, were fish nails. I still love doing them 10 years later (yes, it is hard to believe that these awesome vivid memories happened 10 or more years ago! Time flies)
