The weather has turned completely. The trees are barren, partly helped by the massive winds brought in from the hurricane. My pixie cut is becoming impractical for this time, and I have been wearing my knit caps for the whole day of work. I cannot decide if I want to grow my hair out or not. I end up looking back at photos when I have long hair and missing my French braids but then promptly remembering that it takes me like 30 minutes to actually dry my hair.

Love the outfit! I too have been having the great hair debate. I just wish I could skip that weird shaggy in between phase.
ReplyDeleteI have the same dilemma with my hair. I cut it short a few months ago and now I'm deciding whether to let it grow or cut it again. I love how the knit hat looks with the pixie cut. So cute!

Well I love your haircut now, but I also think you would look great with longer hair too....Hard choice! I actual do not dry my hair. I let the car heater do that and leave it in braids then its wavy all day... This outfit is to cute. I love the double dose of dots! :) and this dress! and your boots annnnnnnnnnnd everything!

This yellow knit cap is such a perfect pop in these photos and with this outfit. I love the double dose of polka dots here and your nails are awesome!!
ReplyDeleteIt's so crazy when the weather just switches like that, we got 10cm of snow this morning and all of a sudden it is definitely winter
xJennaD
Love those shoes and your nails are gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteI shower at night to solve the "million-years-to-dry-hair" problem, but then, you also look adorable with a pixie cut! The hat looks good on you.
ReplyDeleteGood thing that you look super cute in your knit hats Katherine! Now that Patrick is gone for a few months, my first goal is to chop all my hair off! Hope I can not chicken out! I love that dress on you!
ReplyDeletei agree with robin...you look cute in knit hats, at least! but i love your pixie cut...hopefully your ears will survive the winter!
ReplyDeleteoh. I adore your dear creatures dress! x
ReplyDeleteAlways love your nail shots! =)
ReplyDeleteI would love to catch how you look with longer hair! BUT, I do love you with short hair! It's such a great look on you!

I feel like my hair takes forever to dry... but that's like 10 minutes. I definitely need to be thankful for that! Your short hair is cute and it matches you! Maybe if you could grow it out to a bob. My boss has the cutest bob right now.. it makes me want one but I love my long hair too much. haha

I think a cold neck is the hardest thing about having short hair in the winter. Having long hair is hard too because it takes forever to dry. I live by dry shampoo all winter long so I don't have to wash it too often.
ReplyDeleteIt's so sad to see bare trees! And I'm noticing the inconvenience of shaving half of your head a lot these days haha. Thank god my grandmother makes me lots of hats! :) xo
ReplyDeleteI love how the color of your hat pops against the backdrop. So cute!

Cute cute cute. I love the hat.....where do you find of these great hats. The booties are gorgeous and I love the cardi too. All around adorable.
ReplyDeleteYou should do something wild with your hair just before you drive to Florida and surprise the man : )
ReplyDeleteLove that hat and the polk-a-dot tights.

I am also contemplating growing my hair back! My hair cut is similar to yours, except with deep layers. I think I want to grow it back. I keep thinking of styles like sloppy buns that I can't do with my short hair :(
ReplyDeletecute nails
ReplyDeleteYou look so super cute. The nail polish is pretty and what a lovely dress.

that hat is quite possibly the PERFECT color!
ReplyDeletep.s. i just stumbled across your blog and am delighted with your style :)

Oh gosh, how much do you love those tights? I have the same pair and they are so comfy and awesome! I like your pixi cut, I always wish I was ambitious enough to chop off my hair but I talk myself out of it every time. This look is so great too, I love your trench coat! Perfect for the cooler temps!
ReplyDeleteso cute! The beanie is my favorite :)
ReplyDeleteCute dress! I've always had long hair. In addition to the long drying time, in the winter you have to plan dog walks and hair washing around each other! Can't walk the dog in the cold with wet or damp hair, very frustrating! Good luck if you grow it out, I'll eventually be cutting mine shorter, just not yet.

The weather is so suddenly cold now in the northeast! It's like the hurricane blew away the last remaining fall days we could've had. :( Winter is the worst season. It's so hard to stay warm! Knit caps do help, though! :)
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE your booties!!!Your hat is gorgeous on you too. I've been having the same debate about my hair too. I'm thinking I'm going to grow it out.

Great look. Adore the beanie and grey tights. xA
ReplyDeleteI love those nails! And my hair length has always been something I can't figure out, either. I have really thick hair and I don't know what to do with it. I feel like thick haired people are ga-ga for thin hair and vice versa. I love your hair short but I don't know what it would look like if it were long. I think it'd still look lovely. :)
ReplyDeleteyour necklace is too cute, so delicate :) Also, stalked your blog and your pups are seriously adorable...I have an adopted Corgi too :)

gotta have those gray tights! :)
ReplyDeleteI HATE blow drying my hair. It's one of my most dreaded things everyday!!! You wear short hair well, so at least you have the option of keeping it short. :) Love the shoes, so cute.
ReplyDeleteSo cute!! I love the polka dot theme, I wish I had some tights like that
ReplyDeleteOOh I just love what you did too your blog Katherine. Though...I'm sure I am probably very behind on this, but coming back from vacation has me catching up on weeks here :) Anyhow - this outfit is so sweet. I'm kind of a sucker for a cute beret like that. I feel ya on the cold weather thing - reason I grew my hair out too years back. I'm a baby when it comes to the cold.
ReplyDeletexo Marisa
I have really long hair and it takes SO long to dry. If I could pull of a pixie cut as well as you do i would definitely have my hair cut!
ReplyDeletelove love your shoes, hat and cardigan!
ReplyDeleteIt went from a pretty New England fall to complete winter overnight here, too! The knit hat is such a cute accessory, I love the bright yellow color.
ReplyDelete. . .my hair is in a french braid as I read this that you miss having that. . .and I wear my hair this way with my hat, so I laughed a little. Your hat looks very beautiful on you and it really has become so cold!! Did you get snow yesterday? I second your commenter Charlotte. . .having really long hair too (34") it takes about 4 to 5 hours for my hair to dry so I actually only wash my hair about two times a week because it is less of a pain to deal with the drying process that way!
ReplyDelete+Victoria+
I love the touch of color that the hat brings to the outfit!!
ReplyDeleteI love the new look of your blog! Great job!
ReplyDeleteAnd you look great as always! Fabulous tights :-)
Yeah, I wish our little town was like it.. It's very hard to impress anyone with your outfit here :-) They just don't care. And it probably has something to do with a lack of young people. We live in the best little town for retirement in the US hahah Cute but boring :-)

I have those tights! Love em! Cute dress too and I love the bright yellow beanie,it really adds a cute pop if color. I live your pixie cut, I wish I could pull one off.

Every time, all I can say is, I love every piece you're wearing! It's amazing how you mix and match each one for a look that is you. :) The pop of yellow is a nice touch too!

What a great outfit! And I love your tights, so cute!
ReplyDeleteWell, I know that the hair question is difficult, but it always helps me to remember, that hair can be easily cut (when it doesn't look like what we want it to look like longer) but also grows more or less quick when we don't like a cut!

I LOVE those booties, they are so cute! And I love how the polka dots are kind of subtle on your tights, I want to find ones similar. Super cute as always! :)

This is just so adorable! That dress is wonderful and I wish I had one like it. The polka dot tights look perfect with it. Your nail polish is such a pretty color too. I think I have a similar shade to that so maybe I'll have to use it soon!
