I quite love taking photos in the capital area because on weekends, it's pretty desolate. It's almost like a ghost town, at times it is eery, but the regalness of the building paired with the fact no one is around makes setting a tripod up and climbing on random structures less of a public ordeal.

ReplyDeleteNow that sounds like a perfect photo taking place indeed! I love that pretty yellow dress Katherine! Perfect! And your necklace is very cute as well!
ReplyDeleteWe should meet up sometime! I've never been to the capital, you could show me around! :)

This dress is such a fantastic colour!! And I love that it has lace on the back, such a great detail. What a wonderful place to take photos, I need to get more creative about my backdrops, everythings brown/dead here still so it looks gross

I'm so ridiculously jealous of these shoes. And this dress. Well, I'm pretty much jealous of everything you own. Tell Jason that he can't accept that job and he has to find one in California or Illinois. It's non-negotiable.
ReplyDeletewhat a lovely summer outfit ! i totally love it :) it brings smile on my face :)

That yellow polka dot dress looks SO good on you! Since I am a huge fan of grey and yellow together, I especially love it with the grey striped cardigan! Hope you had a great weekend!

ReplyDeleteDid you get a haircut? I've been out of the loop for a while and haven't had time to catch up, but either way it looks good! Also, you wear the cutest jewelry and I want it allllll! :P
ReplyDeleteThat'd make for perfect picture taking...less people gawking at you.

Love your sunny dress!
ReplyDeleteYour dress is beautiful! It looks great on you.

Oh, it's always nice when people aren't around, isn't it? Bahaha. It definitely makes taking pictures much easier, I agree. :D
ReplyDeleteGosh, I just love this outfit! I love how you've got two different types of patterns going on, and that little grey and white shrug is just precious. The button details are precious. Plus, your blue purse pops so well against the yellow. I've always loved yellow and blue together--such a sunny combination. :D
I hope you have an excellent week, Katherine!
I wish I could find a deserted, outdoor photo spot! Love this dress :)

I thought of the same thing when I visited my local beach library this past Sunday and it was deserted! Love that dress, you look lovely as always <3
ReplyDeleteSuper cute sweater! I need to start experimenting with tripods and whatnot. I'm still a little too nervous to go somewhere and take pictures of myself in public. I need to really brainstorm a good location to start off at that's not too populated. I've done it before, but I've never done it with a tripod. I'd just improvise and rest the camera on a ledge/step/stump.
ReplyDeleteSuch fun details with the lace back.
ReplyDeleteLove your whole outfit! It's so fun and happy! You look amazing in yellow!

That dress is so pretty!

The back of that dress is amazing!
ReplyDeleteEvery time you wear that little letter necklace I remember how much I love it!
That is the very reason I love going to the park near Dominick's house, no one is ever there! Okay, sometimes people are, but they are usually jogging or something so they are gone pretty quick.
I loved the dress before I even saw the lace back, and then I fell in love with it even more! You look so cute! And I definitely can relate to the embarrassment that comes with having to publicly take outfit photos haha Good call on choosing a more desolate area!

I wish I had a place to take pictures where's it's nearly empty haha. I'm so tired of my pictures in 'nature' but well, it is beautiful and the most easy choice. Also, can you maybe give some more explanation about how to really blur your background? I've scanned your photo tips posts but I can't get it right somehow.
ReplyDeleteOh and by the way, that dress is superpretty! I love the back.
In love with this outfit! That dress is so fun! The cardigan is lovely!! And your hair is killer in these photos!! =D
