Les Parapluies de Harrisburg

When I was in high school, one of my favorite movies was les Parapluies de Cherbourg. The story is good, the film is well done, and the characters quite interesting. It's no longer 'up there' in my favorite movies, but it always represents a part of me that loves French cinema, love stories, and vintage films. I used to watch it while I crafted things and have seen the movie so many times, yet, since I haven't seen it since I moved out of my parents house and lost the DVD, there are so many details and parts I can't recall. This top always reminds me of the film with the little umbrella print and allows me to smile at 17 year old me.

These photos were taken by the Rockville bridge. I think this is about as close I can figure out how to get to it since this is right where the historical sign explaining it sits. It is the longest stone masonry arch bridge in the world. And it's still in use.

  7. So that's the name of that bridge.. I never knew that nor the history behind it though I've passed by it many times. Very interesting indeed and quite a stunning backdrop. Loving your little blue flats - especially with the pink top. So pretty Katherine! - The patriotic nails above are adorable too. I have no patience whatsoever with my nails - they are always bare. I really need to get on the ball with this:) xx Marisa
