And If That's Your Attitude

When I moved here, I was convinced I would be going out on weekends to new restaurants, trying new things, and really diving into my new area. But as time has gone on, it has gotten harder for me to do all of these things on my own. But now that Jason is gone again, I'm really trying to focus on making the best of this and finding the good things. So I found the West Shore Farmer's Market and bought delicious Hammond's Pretzels, smoked cheddar cheese, fresh peaches, 1/4 of a watermelon, and local honey. I wanted to take photos inside as it is a large market with all kinds of booths, but it was incredibly crowded. With Jason around, I can look through the lens and focus on my photo and he directs me and pushes me around lightly when I'm in the way. But alone, I feel strange being the little girl with the giant camera taking photos in too large of a crowd.

So obviously I'm really into taking photos at the capital. As time goes on, I'm going to focus on taking photos all around the Capitol complex. Also, this little Hello Kitty bag is one I hand stenciled myself. I was thinking of doing a DIY on making fabric stencils from freezer paper like I did with this little tote.

  1. OOOH! I use to collect Hello Kitty! I collected so much HK\Sanrio stuff when I lived in Japan...My husband wants me to get rid of it all, but I'm not going to! And I love farmers markets, as you know, as well....The husband is gone again too, and I've been keeping myself so busy, it's tiring! Love the outfit by the way! -Jessica

  4. Holy Hammonds!!! I love those to pieces - and of course the West Shore Farmer's Market. I swear, we have to meet up one of these days:) That is so close to my parent's house. Love your photos at the Capital building as well - I did a shoot there last summer too - isn't it beautiful?! Your bag is so sweet and so is that dress! I think it's the same one I have and such a great piece to remix so many different ways. <3 xx Marisa

  7. You look adorable. That bracelet is wonderful and I don't know, I feel awkward doing those things in my hometown alone. It's just easier and nicer with people by your side.
