I love white wine and sangria, and I've been dreaming up a yummy citrus sangria recipe to drink this spring/summer since the winter. I actually bought the wine for this back in April! Fresh fruit is abundant where I live now (yay for living by all the farms!) so I figured it was time to take advantage and really celebrate this warm weather!
What You'll Need
White Wine (I suggest a riesling or pinot grigio. I used Bota Box Riesling. Nothing too fancy for this!)
Lemonade (Simply Lemonade is great)
1 Lemon
1 Lime
1 Orange
1 Anjou Pear
Honey
Water
First, cut all of your fruit up. Cut the pears into small cubes and the citrus into slices.
Mix about 2 Tablespoons of honey with 2 Tablespoons of water to make it a little more pourable. Pour this over the fruit and allow to sit for an hour in the fridge.
Place the fruit into a large pitcher, about 32 ounces. Pour wine so that it fills about 3/4 of the pitcher.
Fill the rest of the way up with lemonade.
Allow to chill, then serve straight or over ice!
Yum! This looks delicious! If you mix wine with a fruity seltzer water and frozen berries and watermelon - that is also pretty yummy! Love fruity/fizzy drinks in the summer. :) xo
ReplyDeleteMmmm looks delicous, I love the honey in it! I will have to try it very soon!
