I really hate inclement weather because it mostly makes everyone all excited and irrational. I've always been the person who ignores weather. I drove to Louisville and around the strangely amazing and dead city while it was covered in ice in 2009 and like all the street lights and power were out (
see here). So I still find it weird that my work was closed for two days and that I made the decision to leave for a day so that in the high chance all hell broke loose I was in Ohio and not trapped in Harrisburg. It was worth it just to get good pizza and bagels and some of the awesome apple cider spice blend that was sitting in my in laws home when I got there.
So when I end up at Target and there is no water left, I buy nail polish, because obviously, that's gonna help me. To my defense, Essie's winter collection is totally adorable.

I love the colors you wear so much! Perfect for fall (and possible a hurricane or ice storm or any crazy weather) :)
ReplyDeleteYour hat is so cute!
ReplyDeleteYour entire outfit is cute; but I have a thing for hats.....
The purple and green look so good together :) Your outfits always look amazing

This dress is adorable. I wish I was more like you. I hate weather and I'm basically terrified of snow. I hibernate.
ReplyDeleteI looove this outfit and these photos!! Such a wonderful combination of that pretty floral dress and the jacket and scarf. I am constantly checking the weather, we get such bizarre weather here sometimes and it definitely controls my life in the winter months.
ReplyDeletexJennaD
I never ignore the weather since it's actually the number one thing I'm terrified of, haha! I seriously go into a panic attack/frenzy when there is any kind of mention of tornadoes within a 100 mile radius of where I live. I have just always been terrified of them for some reason. So odd!
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous anyways, I love your color mixes and your floral dress just brightens up everything so much :). you're gorgeous <3

Another reason why I hate not living in America: we have no Target! This dress is so beautiful. And I think I'm officially on the look out for a cozy hat now.

Your tights are such a perfect color! I'm in love with your bag too. Everything is so cute! I'm also a sucker for nail polish. I may have to check out Essie's winter collection even though I know I don't need any more nail polish!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you got through the hurricane ok. I feel awful for all the trouble everyone is in. I love your adorable hat and dress!
ReplyDeleteApple cider spice blend sounds SO good!! And I totally want to buy essie's whole winter line!! This dress is so fun, I love the colors all dressed up for fall, and...im OBSESSED with your fox bag!! Way too cute. I love foxes!

The Essie nail polish is cute! The Winter collection is the metallics, right? I got the purple color. Super cute! Hope you can get some water soon! (the other essential haha)

glad to hear you got out and into a safe place! did harrisburg get damage after all? either way it's always better to be safe than sorry since i know that's how a lot of people get hurt thinking it'd never happen. I def feel for everyone suffering and w/ losses over there but honestly was quite jealous of friends who had days off also but no damage whatsoever around them (or maybe they were under-exaggerating not to scare me?). anywho, you look adorable! I like that little dress remixed for fall : )

My work wasn't closed for the hurricane either, so it was bizarre that my friends didn't have work when I did.
ReplyDeleteYour outfit here is so cute, and it looks so cozy! The beanie is adorable.
I don't pay that much attention to weather reports either, but this has led to me getting stranded because of road closures a lot, especially in college (my alma mater's town regularly had road closures about once every two weeks or so October to May).
ReplyDeleteThis is a cute, cute dress! Glad that you are doing well.
Love that your scarf is handmade! Is it an infinity scarf?

it is! i actually knit it kind of wrong and it has a twist in it that it isn't suppose to but it worked out okay!
DeleteYeah, that hurricane was a nasty one!!!!

I love that dress such a pretty pattern!

"So when I end up at Target and there is no water left, I buy nail polish, because obviously, that's gonna help me." So funny! But it's like something I would do as well. Haha! Lovin' the cute bag, by the way! Such cozy style. :)
ReplyDeleteLove this dress Katherine!!! I am inspired how to make the dress you sent me into a fall look. I need to wear that again sometime soon! Glad you were okay in the storm. Ha-ha I am one of those crazy people that are dorks and pay attention to the weather and love it. BUT Shhh...

I hate crazy weather too and we have a ton in Kansas. Does it help to know that you look really beautiful in this outfit? Cause you do! Love it!
ReplyDeleteHAHAHA Katherine! I was laughing when you said you purchased nail polish instead. Too funny! Glad you're ok and your outfit is pretty doll! My aunt was telling me about the bad weather in Cincy

So glad that you're safe! The pattern on this dress is so pretty, you always have the best fall layers. And I'm in love with the new design!
ReplyDeleteDid you just quote my favorite Neil Young song in your title? I think you did, and I think that's why you're so awesome! And your outfit is beautiful as always.
ReplyDeleteKatherine, you look so adorable! I love the hat, dress and scarf! :) The colors are just wonderful. Also, glad you got to get away and that you are safe! :)
ReplyDeleteAw, it's true! The Essie nail polish is too good to pass up. You are too funny! And of course, you are adorable! Love these photographs!
