runnin’ around with the rag-top down

I love this outfit because it made me feel like a quintessential 50s housewife which is kind of my goal but also not at all because according to my husband, I suck at vacuuming. And brooming. Oh, right, that's called sweeping. I'm just going to leave it brooming so you all know how I really think. I can do these things, sure, but apparently the technique I use is wrong. I was long unaware there is a proper method for chores, but I was wrong. Anyhow, I think I'm doing quite fine on my own as I clean alone and my apartment looks worlds nicer than my husband Jason's when I visit him! So here's to bad sweeping techniques because I say do it however you want as long as it works!

Also, lots of things I could have sworn I have worn on the blog but I have never are appearing today. This Marc Jacobs ring came in a gift set long ago and it is like 3 sizes too big on me, but it's too cute to stay hidden in the closet. And this sweater is my favorite color and I have already mixed it with a lot of stuff in real life, so I was surprised when I realized it's never appeared here.

sweater : j crew outlet
tee : forever21 (i've had this top since 2007 O_o)
heels : seychelles remixed
headband : diy
necklace : crave jewelry design remixed
ring : marc jacobs

  6. I love, love, love how voluminous your dresses/skirts are! I've gotten away from wearing dresses like this - and am thinking that needs to change. Stellar color palette to go along with it. Before I got married, I made sure that Al knew that I would not be doing the vacuuming and dishes...haha. Probably the single two chores I simply can't stand to do! xo Marisa
