Rose Rock Candy Syrup

RockyCandySyrup

This rock candy syrup has been in all of my cocktail creations as of lately, and I figured it was due time to have a typical recipe post for it. I'm going to show you how to make it a little special by infusing dried rose petals into it to make a yummy floral version for spring!

What You'll Need
1.5 Cups Water
2 Cups White Granulated Sugar

Start by brewing the petals in the water over a high heat for about 10 minutes.

Once the petals have lost their color, strain into another pot.

Add two cups of sugar and stir well over medium heat until all sugar dissolves and the mixture is syrupy.

Store in an airtight container and refrigerate. To make simple rock candy syrup, just skip brewing the rose petals! Try infusing teas or fruits in that step as well!

  1. I love this! My roses are in bloom in the yard and I was just thinking about making some rose petal jelly tomorrow and this sounds like a lovely recipe to do along with it!

  2. I love making syrups for coffee and cocktails. I recently made one with mint for making mojitos and it's fabulous :) I would have never thought to use flowers though!
