So from now on, you will no longer see me creeping in fields or down by the river. Let me be clear, I'm a city girl. I never went camping as a kid, unless you count bunking with my youth minister's future wife in the back of their Subaru in the 8th grade. Everyone else was in a tent. Anyhow, I want to tell you this, but I also don't. But the other day I was rummaging through my purse and camera bag looking for my remote (I lost that, oops) but anyhow, out jumps a tick.
I flipped out. Because it did land on my hand and burrow like immediately because I tensed. Thank goodness Jason was here because I would have had no clue what to do. It was the purse I brought down to the river, so I can only assume it happened then, but I have no idea really. Anyhow. I'm looking to stay near the city and not find creepy crawlies sucking my blood when I get home.

I will admit, that is the single thing that scares me about living where I live covered by trees and fields for miles. I pulled a tick off my arm yesterday and wanted to about faint...yuck.
ReplyDeleteThat dress is beautiful - yellow and polka dots have to be one of the cheeriest combinations ever.
PA Dutch country is so charming. Sounds like a marvelous day.

OMG! It burrowed right away??? I would have died!! I don't mind many bugs, but I absolutely hate spiders and ticks are just disgusting. I found a tick in my fabric storage bin once and it was so gross. I can't believe it burrowed on you!! Sorry, I'm getting goose bumps just thinking of it.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I absolutely adore your dress. Yellow is my favorite color and in polka dots! I really want to find a dress like that so bad. :) You look amazing! And those mini pretzels and cheese look sooo tasty! <3

You're totally hilarious on the tick part. Lol! I can relate to what you're saying by referring to the city girl part. I'm very much a city girl too. I love the beach alot though. Country.... Erm.. Not as much =D

Your polka dot dress is just darling! i love the lace detail on the back! I would've freaked out too if I saw a tick on me. I don't do camping either...I'm totally a city girl. If can't plug my hair dryer in, it means I'm not going :)
