Susquehanna Style Happy Hour

Tonight I had a great time attending Susquehanna Style's happy hour and fashion show with my friend Julie. This is kind of my first style event since I've moved to Pennsylvania, and I really enjoyed myself. Julie & I ventured down to York to an adorable little gallery space where delicious food and a little fashion show awaited us.

Hilary Arthur of Arthur & Daughters hosted a lovely fashion show featuring a variety of great looks from local boutiques. It was great to see things put together from places in the area - since I have moved here one thing I have struggled with is finding clothing locally. I've bought maybe 1-2 things here at a chain store. But there were really inspiring!

I'm not sure about how to wear this skirt beyond the pairing with Marimekko top. I love this skirt, but I need something else to pair with this. Anyhow, Julie looks adorable as always. One thing I have always loved about Julie is her amazing style!

  3. Looks like a lovely event...mmm all those cupcakes! Both you and your friend look summer perfect:) I love the bold design on your skirt and pairing it with the simple tank gives it the illusion of being a dress - brilliant! As for not being sure how to wear it other ways - I think you could also pair it with a contrasting top - like it red or yellow or any other bright color and it would look gorgeous as well.

Gotta say, I always love coming to your blog Katherine and seeing places from my hometown represented. Though I lived near Harrisburg, I worked in York. Are those green doors the ones from the Central Market downtown? That was one of my favorite places to go in York! Have a lovely weekend lady! xx Marisa
