So, central Pennsylvania is actually kind of adorable. I was excited to take my friend Alyson who came to visit to all of the local places, walk around the beautiful and huge capitol complex, and eat at some of my favorite places ever. Having Alyson come in town was great because it gave us both some well needed girl time together - it was our first time just hanging out since forever. This needs to happen more often - sadly, Arizona and Pennsylvania are not really easy to travel in between.
Drinks in Amish country at the beer & wine gallery I frequent now. It's in a barn.
We had beers at McGrath's - my favorite place in Harrisburg for drinks - and dinner at Carley's - an adorable piano bar (the same one Marisa and I went to!). It was all amazing.
Harrisburg is situated right on the Susquehanna river and has a beautiful park that goes for miles along the river right beside downtown. I never knew about the stairs that lead directly up to the water - so we ventured down here to get up close and personal with the river. It's fairly clean too - much cleaner than the Ohio river back home.
I'm pretty much obsessed with this dress and everything about it. I don't own anything white/cream - so this was a great addition and I cannot wait to remix it again and again and again

Cute pics! Glad you are enjoying central PA - love the Susquehanna, lots of people canoe/kayak/swim in it. City Island has a "beach" on it that is pretty sad & dilapidated these days, but it used to be legit!
ReplyDeletereally! i still haven't been to city island - i can't believe there is a beach!
DeleteWell - I hope I didn't get your hopes up, there is no sand anymore! It's paved and slopes down into the water, there used to be sandboxes and trees, and lifeguards in the summer ... it is a nice place to walk the dog though and very accessible.
Deletelove the cats on your dress! and your corgi blog name haha
