Apple Pie Martini with Fluff It Up

ApplePieMartini5

Awhile back, one of my best friends told me about a couple that she knew that owned a cotton shop that was organic, fair-trade, and made amazing flavors. I thought that was the coolest thing and figured I would have to wait until the day I finally get myself out to Tucson, Arizona to try it. Then, Alyson called me asking if I could do a few cocktails and feature the Fluff It Up cotton candy on my site, and I died of happiness.

I got my bag of cotton candy flown from Tucson to Cincinnati, and it traveled back in a car with us back to Pennsylvania, so this is some well traveled cotton candy! And, despite the fact I had to leave it sit in my house for a week while we were in Florida, it stayed delicious - and uneaten, much to my dismay, because I seriously wanted to eat it. The pains of being a blogger and having to photograph my food.

So here's to the first flavor and cocktail  - apple pie!

What You'll Need
1.5 Ounce Sour Apple Pucker
1.5 Ounce Licor 43 or Butterscoth Schnapps (Similar, Licor 43 is more vanilla-y and pie like)
Splash of Bourbon or Tennessee Whiskey

Pour all ingredients over ice into a strainer. Shake well for 30 seconds, strain into a martini glass. Carefully garnish with Fluff It Up cotton candy in apple pie - and enjoy!

When you serve, dip the cotton candy into the drink and swirl! It adds a bit more of a sugary taste. I say leave a bit for yourself to enjoy pure as well - I ate what is in my hand here promptly after taking this photo.

  2. Mmm this sounds delicious. Licor 43 is really tasty so I'm sure this would be good. I'm going to have to pin it so I remember to try this sometime!

  3. Ooooh yummy!

I had this martini on NYE that was pink and had pop rocks along the rim. I swear, add a little sweet to my drink and I am one happy girl!

  5. oh the cotton candy on the rim is such a good idea! I love something a little sweet to help a drink go down easier, I once had a drink with a pixie stick rim and loved it!!
