Infiltrating Teemo's Home

So for the past year, Teemo has been the man of our house. He's protected me from loud noises by making barks that are barely barks and more just loud grunts, gotten a good portion of every meal, and had the house and all the toys to himself. I thought I would post a little about the changes in our apartment since my husband and our other pup Raynor have moved back in.

one. no more bones.
Guys! It's terrible! Teemo loves bones, but Raynor cannot handle herself, so we cannot have bones in the house. Every now and then I hide Teemo in a room and give him one, but it's not the same.

two. no more room on the couch.
For Teemo and me, our couch was big. We barely took up one cushion. Now he has taken to stretching himself across Jason's legs as they take up most of the couch. I am left to a small corner, and poor Raynor has to resort to a dog bed or the floor.

three. play time
One great thing is seeing the dogs play. I wish Raynor wasn't as heavy footed sometimes, but I suppose having large paws isn't so easy. They love playing tug of war or just chewing on each other.

four. so much cuddles
I cannot even explain to you how moving from a house that's internal temperature was like 79 degrees to a an apartment set at 66 degrees changes how adorable my dogs are. I constantly have a fur ball on top of me or stealing my covers off my lap or demanding to be let under the covers at night. I love winter for this reason only.

five. happiness
Teemo seems much happier with his family back together. Truthfully, we all do. I have felt bad for a year taking Teemo's play mate away, and now that I see them together yet again, I know I can never take them apart again. Plus, Teemo and Jason have a strange bond that involves Teemo cuddling Jason's head like he's a hat or something, and that just always puts a big smile on my face.

  1. I LOVE that my pup sleeps under the blankets and snuggles A LOT. Especially during the winter. SO MANY SNUGGLES! :) :)

  5. My boys have a love/hate relationship but I know they'd be so sad without each other. Roscoe is currently teasing Monte with a stuffed animal so that Monte will steal it away and they can fight.

Two dogs is so much better than one!

  13. I seriously died at how cute these pictures are. There is NOTHING better than puppydog cuddles on a warm winter day for sure. I can imagine the apartment must feel quite crowded with everyone back together but that's awesome! I think Mr. Duke needs a playmate after seeing the pups playing tug-o-war here. I should get my parents a puppy so they're not so sad when me and Mr.Duke get our own place

  15. Aww what a cute post! My dogs are always fighting over the bones even though there's more than enough to go around. (Oliver always wants Jinx's bone, no matter what). And I totally relate to the lack of room on the couch...it is a nightly occurrence here!

  30. How did you manage having 2 dogs?! I had 1 and I can't handle it and I gave her to my parents as they already have a boxer. Seems like my golden retriever loves the company of the boxer =D
Teemo is so loveable and I'm sure your husband loves him just as much. The 1st picture is so adorable =D

  32. Ok, cutest post ever Katherine! So happy you guys are all finally reunited and living under one roof. Teemo and Raynor are sweetie pies. My sister's dog Jagger is the same way with bones and toys for that matter. When she was living with my parents and their dog, they had to throw all the bones away because it totally changed his personality and made him all weird and possessed...haha. Poor guy!
