One thing I really miss is the huge warehouse sized grocery store filled with international goods and hard to find foods. Jungle Jim's is such a fun trip to take. Aisles of wine and beer as well - I picked up some Ace Berry cider, Japanese candies, and some dry soda.
I met up with my friends for a pizza dinner, then Becki, Jeremiah, and I headed for snow cones at Sno Castle down in Kentucky. I had the 'Dora the Explorer' - a combo of dreamsicle and orchid flavors.
We stopped at Devou Park on our drive home to take photos with a nice view of the city, as per my demands. My friends really love me. Then we picked up some snacks and ciders and headed back for a night of watching YouTube videos and playing with cats.

you are seriously the cutest!! that food/snow cone looks to die for!
ReplyDeleteSnow cones are ace - although they get a little tiring when you're nearing the bottom. I had my first for July 4th at the fun fair celebrations our city had - sadly they flavours weren't as impressive as orchid!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun trip, full of yummys (colored snow cone tongues are the best!)

ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos :) I always like lifestyle blogs because it feels like I'm getting this voyeuristic little peek in someone else's life and sort of experiencing it in a second-hand way.

ReplyDeleteI use a 60D with a Tokina 16-28mm f/2.8 and a Canon 50m f/1.4! It's an awesome camera, albeit pretty darn heavy. And Cincinnati has really become a great town with lots to do - I miss it a lot sometimes.
ReplyDeleteI should post my beer cheese recipe up here one day! It's delish.
ReplyDeletehey katherine! i have an aunt that lives in Cincinnati. She use to always talk about Jungle Jim's. HaHaHa That snoball looks really good. They're so refreshing. Love your dress and shoes. Simply awesome! Have a great day my friend.

Thank for the comment on my blog. I would definitely look up the fabrics used in your jacket before dying it. Some fabrics are not easiliy dyed and you could end up with very uneven color. That's part of the reason I like thrifting so much. If I mess up on something I know it didn't cost too much. :)
ReplyDeletelove the photos!!! :D Cincinnati def. looks like a nice place! I hope I can visit that place someday.. :D Love your dress too!! you're so pretty!!! :D

I came over from My Billie, I just read your guest post. I am also from Cincinnati, but now live in the state of Wyoming. I am just not used to seeing other bloggers talk about Cincy,...it's nice. :) I saw the "foodies" sign and thought, " I know that place! " I miss Jungle Jims so much. I always go there when I visit Ohio.
